The federal and Ontario governments are spending a combined $3 billion to build four small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs), which the Canadian Climate Institute says are a 鈥減otential source of reliable, emissions-free electricity.鈥 As David Akin explains, the investment is being made with hope of the SMRs being sold to other countries while creating jobs in Canada.
