‘You’re doing this now?’ Opinions divided on bail reform following Brampton murder

The mayor of Brampton is applauding a federal announcement Thursday, which is proposing harsher sentences and harder-to-get bails for violent and repeat offenders.
Patrick Brown says the legislation might have saved the life of a mother-of-four murdered in his city this week.
But as Noor Ra’fat reports, opinions are divided on whether bail reform is the answer to curbing crime and gender-based violence.
