In what they have called “Project Overboil,” Central Ontario RCMP officials arrested three individuals connected to a “large-scale clandestine” synthetic drug laboratory operating out of Schomberg, Ont. After attaining a search warrant on Sept. 7, authorities seized nearly $10 million worth of synthetic drugs, while neutralizing approximately 20,000 litres of hazardous waste — ultimately preventing “future production of millions of dollars worth” of synthetic opioids.
