Hurricane Melissa unleashed devastation in Jamaica as the strongest storm on record to hit the Caribbean island nation, and later roared into eastern Cuba. “It was terrible… The wind. It was violent. It was terrible for all of us,” one Jamaican resident said and added that he had experienced three other dangerous storms, but Hurricane Melissa was the “worst.”
