Montrealers are bracing for major public transit disruptions as two strikes are set to hit the city starting Halloween night. Beginning at 10 p.m. on Oct 31, 2, 500 maintenance workers will start a month-long strike. What’s more, starting at 4 a.m. Saturday, all bus and metro service will shut down for 24 hours as 4,500 drivers, metro operators and station agents plan to walk off the job.
