Russia-Ukraine war: Police evacuate civilians from eastern frontline under Russian siege

Fighting in eastern Ukraine intensified Monday as Russian forces made advances in multiple cities across Donetsk Oblast, a region Moscow has occupied roughly 70 per cent of since their invasion began in early 2022. Before successfully evacuating nine civilians from the frontlines of Kostiantynivka, officers from Ukraine’s special police unit, the White Angels, helped remove the body of a woman killed in Russian strikes.
