The historic U.S. government shutdown came to an end on Wednesday night when President Donald Trump signed a budget bill that had passed the House into law. Certain programs, such as food stamps or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, would be restored in a few hours, but others would take longer. Meanwhile, the House is expected to vote on releasing thousand of Jeffrey Epstein files to the public, including emails containing references to Trump. Additionally, Trump claims he will sue the BBC for editing his Jan. 6 speech — but will this stand up in court?
