It may surprise you that pilots flying in Canada are not required to undergo random drug and alcohol tests. It’s an issue that came up after a Sunwing pilot was arrested after allegedly passing out drunk in the cockpit. Vassy Kapelos has more on why this isn’t mandatory yet.
