While it’s only early May, firefighters from across the province are getting ready for wildfire season. Hundreds of municipal fire crews have descended on Penticton for a large scale training exercise. With Okanagan fire seasons becoming more intense and prolonged, there is more pressure on local fire departments to step up if provincial resources are strained. Shelby Thom reports.
