Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne said on Thursday that the Canadians being repatriated from Wuhan, China would be leaving shortly on board a charter plane to Canada. He said an American plane would also be carrying some Canadians back and would also land at Canadian Forces Base Trenton some time after the first flight lands early Friday morning. He added a second charter plane would need to be sent to gather Canadians still waiting to leave, but as of Friday, two-thirds of Canadians seeking repatriation will have returned to Canada.
