The former Atlanta, Ga. police officer accused of the shooting death of Rayshard Brooks outside a Wendy’s less than three weeks ago had his bail bond set at US$500,000 on Tuesday, despite pleas by Brooks’ widow that he remain in jail. Garrett Rolfe will be required to wear an ankle monitor should he make bail. His case before a grand jury, which will consider whether to indict him, is scheduled for early next year.
