Vice-President Mike Pence, during the Republican National Convention on Wednesday, spoke about ongoing protests happening in various cities across the U.S. related to racial injustice and police brutality – most recently in Kenosha, Wisc. He said that he and U.S. President Donald Trump support peaceful protests, but that 鈥渧iolence must stop鈥 and that 鈥渞ioting and looting is not peaceful protest.鈥 He said they don’t have to choose between supporting law enforcement or standing with their 鈥淎frican-American neighbours” as he sees it.
