Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil announced on Tuesday that his government has started a restorative process in the justice and policing systems in the province with the appointment of a design team to transform public safety. Its goal is to become more just to racialized communities including Black and Indigenous people following the rise of anti-racism protests across several Canadian and U.S. states and cities.
