Speaking on Thursday, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister said Canada must “confront” its past after the discovery of more than 700 unmarked graves at a former residential school in Saskatchewan, but added that he doesn’t believe Canada Day should be cancelled. Instead, Pallister encouraged Canadians to celebrate, but “should celebrate it with its warts too.”
