For many Canadians, Americans and those around the world, Sept. 11, 2001 is a day etched in their minds and hearts, with people often able to tell you where they were when the tragic day began to unfold. But for those born between 1997 and 2012, the generation often referred to as “Gen Z,” the events hit differently. As Anne Gaviola explains, while much of this generation did not experience 9/11 first-hand, the impact of the attack is still felt.
