Ontario Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk said on Wednesday that an audit into the Ontario Provincial Police in 2020 found that over 1,000 frontline constable positions were vacant, which accounts for over 26 per cent of the total OPP frontline constable positions. Those vacancies appeared to impact the service provided by OPP to municipalities.
