Asst. Professor Sean Carlton in the department of History and Indigenous Studies spoke to ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ about how the Forks’ ‘New Day’ reflects a change in how Canadians are beginning to come to terms with their countries past. After consultations with Indigenous groups the Forks re-named usual Canada Day events to ‘New Day’ in the spirit of reflection and reconciliation.
