Winnipeg painter and art instructor Joyce Anderson spoke with Global Winnipeg on Monday about how it feels to be following her passion, while helping emerging painters at 90 years old. Anderson recalls how her passion for painting began when she was 13 and her father bought her first easel. She adds that painting and artistic expression were two healthy distractions that got her through the pandemic. Although Anderson retired from teaching with the Winnipeg School Division, she continues to help small groups develop their artistic techniques.
