Comeback Society’s Chief Visionary Officer, Alicia Morrow, spoke on Thursday about a buffalo harvesting ceremony that took place at the Regina Food Bank. The Comeback Society is an Indigenous led organization that combats food insecurity with many initiative including the successful Soupbowl Sunday. Morrow emphasized the importance of reclaiming traditions once lost in the Indigenous community and said Thursday’s ceremony is monumental.
