Laura Walton, the president of CUPE-OSBCU, said on Monday she was pleased to see Bill 28 — which imposed a contract on education workers and would have banned them from striking — had been revoked earlier that day. Walton went on to say with Bill 28 revoked, she said the negotiating unit for their union is focused on achieving a “fairly negotiated agreement.”
