The Ontario government will publicly fund a range of surgeries which can be performed at private clinics, in an effort to ease the burden on the strained health-care system. Touria Izri explains the three-phase plan, which surgeries are affected, and the concerns about how this could affect hospital staffing levels while opening the door to the privatization of health-care.
