Saskatchewan Health Minister Paul Merriman announced on Wednesday that Saskatchewan has reached an agreement with the federal government regarding health-care funding. Merriman said in addition to a one-time $61-million funding injection, the federal government has set support goals for the province to reach in specific sectors like mental health and addictions, primary care and seniors care.
