Eric de Schepper, whose wife died of pancreatic cancer on Feb. 18, spoke at Manitoba’s legislative building on Wednesday to express his first-hand appreciation for the value home-care respite provides to patients suffering with severe illnesses. Home care, which was promised to de Schepper’s late wife more than five weeks earlier, only arrived days after she passed.
