Winnipeg police Chief Danny Smyth announced on Thursday that investigators observed Linda Beardy entering a waste disposal bin in the 2200 block of Pembina Highway belonging to a retail store. Smyth said no movement was seen from the bin before it was emptied. He added that investigators are waiting for further reports but there are no signs of fowl play involved. “We’ve made a commitment to walk through the investigation with the family when they are ready,” Smyth said.
