A young Toronto tech entrepreneur is breaking down the language barrier between him and his parents. Josh Gao was only able to have limited conversations with his immigrant parents, so he made the Binko Chat App to be able to properly translate idioms and slang into more than a dozen languages. Gao’s hope is for other second-generation immigrants to be able to have seamless conversations with their families too.
