Dr. Supriya Sharma, chief medical advisor at Health Canada, said Tuesday it has authorized an updated Moderna vaccine, tailored to the XBB.1.5 Omicron subvariant, for Canadians six months of age and older. Dr. Sharma added that the agency is currently reviewing submissions by Pfizer BioNTech and Novovax.
