Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Tuesday, Canadian UN ambassador Bob Rae warned that the values of free and democratic societies are “under threat” from various means of foreign interference. “The truth is, if we don’t adhere to the rules that we’ve agreed to, the very fabric of our open and of our free societies may start to tear,” Rae said.
